How to Enroll for Self Service Password Reset

Enroll alternate phone number or email address to avoid being locked out of your Einstein AD account. You are recommended to use non-Einstein affiliated email address.


  1. Open a browser and enter The Microsoft Outlook sign in window appears.
  2. Enter your Einstein email address and click Next
  3. Enter your Montefiore login credentials and click Log On
  4. Click re-enter my password. A window displays to configure the authentication options.
  5. Select any two options:

A. Authentication Phone

  1. Click Set it up now displayed against Authentication Phone is not configured
  2. Select your area and enter a phone number to avoid being locked out of your account
    1. Click text me to receive a code on your phone
      • Enter the code received on your phone in the screen on your computer and click verify
      • or Click call me to receive a call and follow the instruction to complete the phone authentication

B. Authentication Email

  1. Click Set it up now displayed against Authentication Email is not configured
  2. Enter a personal email address and click email me to receive a code on your personal email from Montefiore Medicine
    1. Enter the code you receive on your personal email and click verify to complete the email authentication

C. Authentication Phone

  1. Click Set them up now displayed against Security Questions are not configured
  2. Select your questions from the drop-down list and enter your answers
  3. Click save answers to complete the security questions authentication
  4. Click finish to complete enrolling the password reset process

How to Change Your Einstein AD Password

You can change your Einstein AD password through any of the methods given in this document after you have enrolled for self-service password reset. (Instructions above.)

Method A

Access your Office 360 mailbox through a web browser from any computer with an internet connection.

Steps are as below:

  1. Type in a web browser
  2. Enter your login credentials and click Log On
    The E-mail page is as shown:
  3. Click on your profile icon, which is a circle with your initials located on the top right corner of the screen
  4. Click on My account

  5. Click Security & privacy from the left panel
  6. Click Password
  7. Enter the existing/ current password
  8. Enter a new password
  9. Retype the new password
  10. Click submit


Your password will be changed across all your domain accounts, example, computer, email, and Kronos.

You will have received your Login credentials via email to your personal address, Your temp password will be sent with this email. The password must be changed in order for you to use it. Heres how:

  • Log into email here:
  • Use your new email address and the temp password to login
  • You will be forced to change your password to something secure at first login.
  • Passwords should follow these guidelines. Your password must be at least 8 characters in length and include 3 of these 4 elements:
    • An uppercase letter
    • A lowercase letter
    • A number
    • A special Character: ! # + = @

Einstein Password Policy – Password must be changed every 90 days, the same password cannot have been used the prior 5 times

  2. Go to highlighted link ( – follow instructions to reset password.
